Overview

The Chromium sandbox is the core of the security model implemented by the Chromium project, more information can be found here: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/master/docs/design/sandbox.md

This error is generated when security software falsely identifies the Chromium Security Sandbox as exhibiting 'virus-like' behavior.

OpenFin has a policy of sending all production runtimes to the major security software vendors for whitelisting.

Troubleshooting steps

If an application is closing due to this error then either the OpenFin processes (openfin.exe and openfinRVM.exe) will need to be whitelisted with the local AV installation, or a false positive report will be submitted to the security software vendor.
